A one-off Christmas special

edition

Unlike many other industry events IMPA London is every year, providing a unique opportunity to grow and build on your contacts each year. Under normal circumstances the event takes place in September and most often during the second week of the month. However, for one year only and due to the Covid-19 pandemic the event in 2021 takes place in December, it’s going to be a special one-off Christmas edition.

The event is two full days with a number of side events at the beginning of the week and at the end. Tuesday and Wednesday are the two days of the exhibition and conference itself with Monday acting as the exhibitor build-up day.

Where is the event?

The event is held at possibly London’s finest and most prestigious conference and event venue, the Queen Elizabeth II centre. The venue is in the heart of Westminster and close to many leading London venues and hotels.

Views of the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and other landmark locations can be seen from many of the windows at the event which adds to the special feel of the event. It is also closely situated to other London attractions making it the ideal choice for a few days in London, combined with meetings or some vacation time.

A famous cocktail party

For many years now, the event has featured a cocktail party on the evening of the first day. It is held in the exhibition hall to create that special and highly social atmosphere.

A dedicated supply chain and procurement conference

An annual feature of the event is a small conference that attracts purchasing people and supply chain professionals who join together to hear and discover the latest thinking in our industry. Case studies from procurement managers, leading consultants and commentators, celebrity speakers and even a Royal Princess have played a part in the annual conference gathering in the past.

 

Finally, dinners, side events and an early morning run to promote sustainability are also part of the event.

What truly makes IMPA London special is the many side events, networking and social gatherings that take place around the event, organised with the event team or with other stakeholders and exhibitors. River boat dinners, theatre trips and parties form part of the event that often lasts the full week for many. Lastly, the Innovation Zone is the place to see new products and services launched.

The IMPA London Conference

The annual IMPA conference has been a regular fixture within the overall IMPA London event since the very start. The programme aims to provide highly relevant presentations, demonstrations, and sessions for all of those working in the global maritime supply chain.

Diversity in terms of subject material is important to the organisers and in this respect, the programme appeals to different levels of seniority in the purchasing department, with something for all purchasers. The one-day IMPA conference is a must-attend for many in the industry!
